The USAF A-10C Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team is to perform its final airshow appearance this coming weekend at the Stuart Airshow, Florida, on the 8th-10th September.
This will bring to an end a long history of fully-aerobatic A-10 displays, coinciding with the A-10 fleet being gradually withdrawn from service, with the type due to be fully retired in 2029. It is very likely that individual A-10 units will continue to perform non-aerobatic airfield attack demonstrations and flybys at selected events for a few more years.
This will leave three USAF Air Combat Command solo display teams for the 2025 season and beyond, unless a new team is stood up: the F-35A Lightning II, F-16C Fighting Falcon and F-22A Raptor.
