AirshowStuff and This is Flight release new “Airshow Action” mini-series

US-based AirshowStuff and UK-based This is Flight have collaborated on a new series of Airshow Action, bringing you 90 minutes of the best and most significant airshow moments of the 2022 display season, recorded across Europe, the USA and Australia. The two-part series was recently released on YouTube.

PART 1: MILITARY AIRSHOW ACTION

We look at displays marking the USAF’s 75th anniversary, including the spectacular Combined Arms Demonstration at Nellis AFB and a four-ship Heritage Flight at Oshkosh. Highlights of the Royal International Air Tattoo, provided by our friends at PlanesTV, include Korea’s Black Eagles, a tailchase by Austrian Eurofighters and a farewell appearance by a Czech Mi-24. We also look at the year’s best special schemes, such as the French Air & Space Force’s Rafale C and Belgium’s F-16AM “Dream Viper”.

PART 2: WARBIRD AIRSHOW ACTION

We see displays marking the 75th anniversary of the USAF, 40th anniversary of the Falklands conflict and the 80th anniversary of the Normandie Niemen. At Air Legend in France, the themes include classic jets and historic transport aircraft, while in Australia we see a civilian-operated P-3 Orien, Super Constellation and a historic gathering of P-40s. Oshkosh provided two high points of the season: Polaris Dawn’s MiG-29UB and the four-ship Flight of the Cats display. There’s also truimpant returns to the airshow circuit for the BBMF’s Lancaster and Mark Hooton’s Vampire T.11.

We’ve also produced a third collaboration with AirshowStuff, transforming their footage from Oshkosh into an hour-long Airshow Dispatches-style documentary film looking back at the highlights of the show.
