The Flying Dragons are a paramotor display team based in Poland, specialising in night time displays with synchronised pyrotechnics, music and lights. They display with up to eight pilots per show.
The Flying Dragons were formed in 2014 and quickly became one of the most popular airshow teams in Poland. They use Polish-build paramotor equipment: the Dudek Snake 1.2 paraglider and the Techno Fly Tornado 280 motor.
Due to the portability of motorglider equipment, the Flying Dragons have frequently displayed far from their home base. Their first international show was in 2018 in Sweden; since then, they have flown in Portugal, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Romania and Qatar, among others.

Display
The Flying Dragons’ display is adapted to fit the requirements of each venue and the time of day. However, a typical Flying Dragons display is largely based around a series of turns and flypasts in a vertical stack formation, punctuated by the occasional formation change or split. During the day show, this is accompanied by coloured smoke.
The night show, meanwhile, is choreographed to the music track ‘Sweet Adrenaline’. Each of the paramotors can be fitted with pyrotechnics and various lights, illuminating the canopy and motor in different colours. These are controlled centrally, to ensure that the flashing of the lights and the firing of the pyrotechnics is perfectly syncronised across the formation, and matches the rhythm of the music. Additionally, it is common that the show includes ground-launched fireworks, and the finale often sees the Flying Dragons performing close formation orbits around a column of roman candles fired upwards from the ground.
