2024 will be the final display season for the US Air Force’s A-10C Thunderbolt II Demonstration Team.
The team said: “It is with heavy hearts that we announce that the 2024 A-10C Demonstration season will be the final one.
“We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported our team over the last 40+ years. It is truly the end of an era. If you have the opportunity to come to any of our shows this season, please do so, as it will be your last chance to see the A-10C Demonstration Team in action.”
A-10s are gradually being withdrawn from service, and are expected to be fully-retired by 2029.
This will leave three USAF Air Combat Command solo display teams for the 2025 season and beyond, unless a new team is stood up: the F-35A Lightning II, F-16C Fighting Falcon and F-22A Raptor.
