The Australian International Airshow is the ADF’s main public showcase event, and the largest airshow in the southern hemisphere. This year’s show included a strong contribution from the home team, with mixed-type formations (including an impressive heritage flight) among the highlights, plus solo routines from the F/A-18F Super Hornet, F-35A Lightning II, P-8A Poseidon and C-27J Spartan. The USAF was the only foreign nation to contribute to the flying display, sending the F-22A Raptor, F-16C Fighting Falcon and C-17A Globemaster III to perform solo displays.
