Russian arms exporter Rostec describes the aircraft as a Su-57E, the export version of the Su-57, though in truth the display will use a T-50 PAK FA with tail number 509. This is an Su-57 prototype, which lacks the stealth characteristics or full combat capabilities of a true Su-57.

In an airshow first, the jet will display with three of its four weapon bays open. Inside the forward main bay, a pair of Kh-58 anti-radiation missiles. Mounted in small bays in the wing root, R-74 short range heat-seeking infrared missiles.

This is only the third time the Su-57 has flown at an airshow outside Russia, the others being Airshow China 2024 and Aero India 2025.

Joining the Su-57 in the flying display will be two other displays from Russia: a Ka-52 Alligator and the Russian Knights, flying six Su-35Ss. The static display will include a modernised Ka-32 and Il-76.

The Dubai Airshow will take place from the 17th-21st November 2025 at Al Maktoum.
