Germany’s new Tornado Demonstration Team to debut at Antidotum Airshow Leszno

Germany’s new Tornado Demonstration Team will make its debut at Antidotum Airshow Leszno 2025 in Poland.

The German Air Force has been substantially increasing its airshow participation in recent seasons, and the new Tornado display is their latest initiative. The demonstration team’s existance was revealed at the European Airshow Council 2025 in Prague, held in February. It is being provided by Taktisches Luftwaffengeschwader 33 based in Büchel, and the performance will use a single Tornado IDS.

It will be the only fully-fledged Tornado aerobatic display on the airshow circuit globally.

The new team will perform at just two events in 2025, with Antidotum Airshow (20th-21st June) being the first. The organisers said: “No, it’s not a joke, the Tornado will actually thunder in the Leszno sky for the FIRST time ever! We are honoured, it is an absolute privilege!”

The second event on the Tornado Demonstration Team’s schedule has not yet been named.

This is Flight understands that the aim is to steadily increase the number of events it flies at in future seasons. This is in line with when the German Air Force set up its Eurofighter EF2000 Demonstration Team in 2022, with the team initially displaying at just three events per season, expanding to a calendar of six shows last year.
