Highlights from the Shuttleworth Family Airshow at Old Warden. The event featured several historic formations, including the de Havilland Comet flying with a Vampire FB.6 and Spitfire FR.XIVe, the Lysander with the Anson and a quartet of fighters with links to the Siege of Malta: two Spitfire Mk.Vcs, a Sea Hurricane Mk.IB and Gladiator Mk.I. But the stars of the show were solo appearances by John Romain in the Spitfire XIV and the BBMF’s Lancaster B.1.
