We’re always on the look out for talented individuals with a passion for flight and photography to provide features and reports for our website, and new contributors are always welcome.
Our best and most regular contributors may benefit from privileged access and unique photographic opportunities. For many of our reporters, contributing to This is Flight was the first step towards a role with renowned aerobatic teams and airshow organisers or a career in aviation media. However, our website is not commercial or profitable, thus we cannot offer paid roles. Therefore, it is essential that the primary motive for all contributors is a desire to share their passion for aviation and airshows.
Video work, which may be commercial, can be paid as a share of proceeds.
If you’d like to become a contributor, please read our Information for New Contributors page and get in touch by emailing us at enquiries@thisisflight.net. Our photographic and journalistic standards have become increasingly rigorous over the years, so please attach an example of your work, including an excerpt of a long-form feature or airshow review (at least 500 words), accompanied by five suitable images.
Note that, as per the link above, we are not generally interested in hearing from prospective contributors who only submit ad-hoc still images; a mix of skills, preferably including writing, is required, and extensive experience of attending airshows in multiple countries is hirely desirable.
Are you ready to take on one of the most exciting, challenging and rewarding experiences in aviation?
