Highlights from the Dubai Airshow, the ultimate east-meets-west aviation showdown. The latest fighter aircraft from various nations featured, including the USA’s F-15EX/QA and F-35A Lightning II, China’s J-10C, France’s Rafale C and Russia’s Su-35. There was also a world-first showdown between Pakistan’s JF-17 Thunder and India’s Tejas.
The UAE contributed their F-16E and Mirage 2000 displays, as well as the Al Fursan Al Emarat aerobatic team flying the MB-339. We also got a glimpse into the future, with a solo display by their incoming aircraft, the L-15 Falcon. Other big aerobatic teams included August 1st/Ba Yi, the Russian Knights, Frecce Tricolori and the Sarang Display Team.
Commercial aviation was represented by the 777X and A350 in the flying display.
