Warbirds Over Scone 2022 was of the largest warbird airshows in the southern hemisphere in the last few years, and the highlight was a stunning four-ship display of four P-40 Kittyhawks – the biggest such gathering in Australia since the Second World War.
Fantastic solo displays came from the rarely-seen Fw190 and from newly-restored Spitfire Mk.IX MH603. We also saw a CA-3 Wirraway joining its American cousin, the T-6 Harvard, for a special performance of the Southern Knights aerobatic team. The finale of the show was an unforgettable 10-ship warbird flypast.
