Filming aircraft in flight is one of the most demanding challenges a camera operator can face. In an airshow environment, understanding, display sequences, display areas and the regulations that govern displays is essential to obtain good results – as is having hundreds of hours of practice.
Our camera operators have recorded at dozens of airshows around the world, totalling over 500 hours of air display filming between 2018 and 2021. They are uniquely skilled to deliver smooth, reliable and tight tracking shots of aircraft in flight, making us one of the go-to organisations for airshow filming in the UK.
As well as being hired to produce promotional videos and documentary films from scratch, our team have also been hired individually to join other camera crews. We provided a live drone feed for TV coverage of the air displays at the Saudi Grand Prix 2022, and regularly provide a ground-to-air camera operator for live outside broadcasts with PlanesTV. We have also filmed for the Air Race World Championship, Midlands Air Festival, Antidotum Airshow Leszno, the Aerosparx Display Team and several other events, display teams and organisations around the world.
