Filming aircraft in flight is one of the most demanding challenges a camera operator can face. In an airshow environment, understanding, display sequences, display areas and the regulations that govern displays is essential to obtain good results – as is having hundreds of hours of practice.
Our camera operators have recorded at dozens of airshows around the world, each one having conducted over 500 hours of air display filming between 2018 and 2022. They are uniquely skilled to deliver smooth, reliable and tight tracking shots of aircraft in flight, making us one of the go-to organisations for airshow filming in the UK.
We have served as camera operators for the official live broadcasts of the Royal International Air Tattoo, Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow and NATO Days in Ostrava, among others, as well as providing a live drone feed of the air displays at the Saudi Grand Prix 2022 for live TV coverage. We are also the video providers for Paris Air Legend and the Midlands Air Festival, and we regularly provide uncut display recordings to pilots and airshow producers to use as “debrief material” – including supplying film of a Top Gun: Maverick promotional display to Paramount Home Entertainment.
