WE MAKE THEATRE OF THE AIR. SHOULDN'T THAT INCLUDE A THEATRICAL SOUNDTRACK?

A flying display is about more than just the flying: it’s everything that the spectators see and hear. The commentary and soundtrack deserves the same rigerous attention to detail as the flying displays themselves, as only a immersive can fully unleash the entertainment potential of flying display performers.

I’m a relative newcomer to airshow commentary, and took the microphone for the first time in 2024. Already, I’ve been a lead commentator at airshows in the US and UK, and a guest commentator at further events in Jersey and Belgium. I’m also a regular commentator/host with PlanesTV.

Although I’m a hardcore avgeek at heart, and take great care to ensure factual accuracy and do justice to the impressive technical feats and storied histories of the aircraft we see perform, I also recognise that our primary job is not to educate, but to entertain. We put on aerial theatre, not school lessons. And with that in mind, I’ve set out to offer something a bit different: a highly-choreographed, music-led soundtrack, with each music track customised and timed to precisely match the display routine of the flying display performances, woven together with polished narration into a single cohesive soundtrack that runs from the first take off to the last landing, and truly feels like a part of the show.

I will provide a fully-produced, balanced line level output for onward distribution to your PA system; all I need from you is a power supply, a table, confirmation that you hold a PRS licence and an XLR cable to take my feed for onward distribution.

My commentary product is adaptable to the requirements and mood of your show; the music-led approach isn’t right everywhere, and I’m quite able to do things the more conventional way. Please take a look at the showreel below, which includes snapshots of several recent events and broadcasts.
