LANGKAWI | The national aerobatic team of Indonesia look likely to perform at this year’s Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition.
The team, who fly six KT-1B Woongbi turboprop trainer aircraft from Korea, announced their participation on Twitter yesterday, saying they were “preparing” for the biannual event.

They are one of the most regular contributors to the LIMA flying programme, having participated in every show since 2013. However, they had to withdraw from the 2015 event after a major mid-air collision during the training days. Thankfully, there were no fatalities.
In 2017, the team provided one of the highlights of the week when they performed a pair of formation flypasts with the Black Eagles of the Republic of Korea.

LIMA is one of the largest airshows in Asia and is set to be held on the 26th-30th March 2019. No participating aircraft have been officially announced by the organisers so far.
