Flywheel Festival to take a break in 2019

BICESTER | The popular Flywheel Festival will not go ahead this year after one of the key organisations behind the show pulled out.

The Haymarket Media Group, who were instrumental in running the Classic & Sports Car Show at last year’s Flywheel Festival, have recently undergone restructuring and are unable to stage the show “for the foreseeable future”, the Flywheel Festival said on Facebook.

They added: “In the circumstances, the Flywheel team do not have sufficient time to develop, plan and deliver an event of this scale to a high enough standard for 2019, so Flywheel will not be going ahead in 2019.”

While the Flywheel Festival is primarily a celebration of historic motoring and military machinary, it also features a small flying display which last year included the Great War Display Team. The event began in 2015.
